Nineteen senators, primarily Republicans, voted against the measure, including Senators Ashby, Borrello, Canzoneri-Fitzpatrick, Felder, Gallivan, Griffo, Helming, Lanza, Mattera, Murray, Oberacker, O'Mara, Ortt, Palumbo, Rhoads, Stec, Tedisco, Walczyk, and Weik.
